Description
ORGANIZATIONAL ANALYSIS, STRUCTURE AND DESIGN
The goal of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to understand the organizations in which they work from a systems viewpoint and gain insights into organizational problems and potential solutions. The course will introduce a systematic model for organizational analysis that can be used to explore the structural frameworks of organizations, fundamental design decisions and their implications for organizational performance. Learning will be facilitated through a disciplined case-based approach in which students will apply relevant theory and analytical processes to identify the fit between organizational environment, strategy, work and structure.
