Description
ADVANCED VOLCANOLOGY
This course will provide an in-depth discussion of the generation of magma beneath the Earth's surface, the processes by which different volcanic eruptions occur and the deposits that are left behind. We will also discuss the monitoring and mitigation of volcanic hazards, through remote sensing and modelling techniques, as well as the volcanic processes that occur and have occurred on other planetary bodies in our solar system.
