FUNDAMENTALS OF REHABILITATION ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY 1
Introduction to fundamental principles and practices related to multiple areas of assertive technology. The technology area includes: seating and wheelchair mobility, augmentative communication, environmental control, computer access, transportation safety, prosthetics, worksite ergonomic, and man/machine modeling. In addition, common terminology, dis ability, ethics, and models of service delivery related to assistive technology are discussed. **This course has been 3 credits in the past, which included a hands-on lab component. Due to the need for social distancing, this course is now 2 credits with an optional 1-credit lab component. If you wish to take the lab component, please also register for HRS 1702.
